Lake District Wedding Photography: Andy and Gemma
Lake District Wedding Photography
Introducing the fabulous but slightly crazy Lake District wedding of Andrew and Gemma Pendlebury.
Long Meg stone circle in Cumbria was the venue and the Lake District Summer rain wasn’t going to dampen the atmosphere for these very special people.
Each wedding that we photograph throws up different challenges, usually changing light conditions but this fabulous wedding was a bit different.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
An outdoor wedding ceremony in the pouring rain was a new challenge. Leading on from pre wedding shoot we did in Bakewell where we were faced with gale force winds.
However. Andy and Gemma were determined not to let the conditions disrupt what would be a beautiful ceremony surrounded by close friends and family conducted by the very cool Daniel Glastonbury.
Andy and Gemma have recently made a very courageous decision to up sticks and move North to the Orkney Islands to pursue a new life.

Moving on to the wedding breakfast, beautiful and humorous speeches were toasted by lots of mead at the very hospitable Penrith Rugby club.
Wedding breakfast done and onto the next unusual wedding event as the groom then took part in a rugby match between Penrith and Leigh RFU. Andy (Groom) emerging onto the pitch wearing a wedding dress supplied by his team mates.
The wedding of Andy and Gemma really was a special occasion between two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.
Cheshire Based Wedding Photographer
From the moment we met, we hit it off and we have been looking forward to photographing this wedding for a very long time.
We wish the happy couple all the very best in their new married life together.
